Where to Go Wishlist: Scandinavia

Wonderful Copenhagen!

After visiting Copenhagen in 2013, I fell in love with all things Danish, and since then I’ve become desperate to see more Scandinavia. One of the trips I cancelled because of my pregnancy sickness was to Stockholm – a city I can’t wait to see. I’m still gutted we never made it.

Stockholm – I know I’d love it!

And then there’s Norway. Mr Holiday Addict reckons the internets have been giving him signs that we should go to there for ages (apparently he sees loads of amazing stuff on reddit) and I’m more than happy to oblige!

And Norway. Swoon.

I’ve been thinking about cruising lately and I reckon when the time is right, a voyage through northern Europe taking in the Norwegian fjords could be perfect. Or maybe we could just take a few more city breaks?

I know this part of the world has a reputation for being expensive, but I’m a great believer in making any destination work for any budget – and truth be told, we didn’t spend as much as I thought we would when we took our trip to Copenhagen. Also, given that now we have a little traveller in tow, these days we’re not exactly out on the town splashing our cash in fancy restaurants, meaning scare stories about prices aren’t likely to put me off. So when the flight is right, I’ll be booking a trip for sure. Fingers crossed for later this year!

Stockholm and Oslo are both amazing so I am sure you will love it when you go (hopefully soon). I’m dying to go back and explore more parts of those beautiful countries, seeing the fjords in Norway is high on my wishlist. 😀

I loved Stockholm when we visited, and I would also love to see more of Scandanavia. Copenhagen always looks so beautiful on everyone’s photos!

  • I’m right there with you! Copenhagen and the rest of Scandanavia has interested me for so long and I’m just itching to get there. Looking forward to hearing about your travels when you go!

  • I’m like you that I’ve only been to Copenhagen but loved it – Stockholm looks fantastic and I’d love to see the fjords. I think my daughter might explode with excitement if I told her it was Frozen territory…
