#Take12Trips 2017 – January Link Up

Hello and welcome to the first ever #take12trips blog linky!

At the beginning of January, I started the clock on the take 12 trips challenge once again. You see, when I first thought up the idea for #take12trips, I wanted it to genuinely motivate me to make the most of my weekends and days off work and that’s exactly what it did, and continues to do! But the best motivation has come from seeing the challenge spread its wings around the internet.

So many of you have joined in over the past few years and I desperately want to keep up with you all as you grow in numbers and continue to keep taking those trips.

So now, here on Need Another Holiday, I’m hosting a monthly spot for us all to link up and let each other know how we’re doing and where we’ve been.

Where are you going? Or where have you been?

My trip for January was a local one – I spent an afternoon in Liverpool’s Victoria Gallery & Museum with my other half and our Holiday Baby. It was one of those bad weather weekends when it would have been so easy just to stay at home, binge watching Fireman Sam (such is the life of a toddler’s parent!), but instead, we bundled up and bounced off out. You can read all about it here.

Enough about me, though. What have you been up to?

  • Thanks for this link up and, of course, for the #take12trips challenge! It’s just such a great challenge and I am so looking forward to the coming 11 trips this year. 🙂 I’ve just posted a (very) short report of our three-day break in Paris and some pictures, too. I loved your post on the museum in Liverpool!

  • Great idea Clare! The #take12trips challenge has continued to inspire me all these years. We took the 3 hour drive from Massachusetts to Vermont in January for a ski weekend with friends and I’m so glad we did. I haven’t written about it, but will make sure to join the link up in February (when we head back to Vermont). Looking forward to seeing the great trips that come out each month!
